Our Psychiatry and Clinical Psychology Department provides compassionate, confidential, and evidence-based mental health care for children, adolescents, and adults. The department focuses on comprehensive psychological assessment, counseling, psychotherapy, behavioral support, and individualized mental health care tailored to each patient’s unique needs. Our aim is to help individuals manage emotional and psychological challenges, develop healthy coping strategies, improve relationships and daily functioning, and achieve long-term emotional well-being.

Kausar Akbar, a qualified Clinical Psychologist, holds a BS (Hons.) in Applied Psychology from the Institute of Applied Psychology (IPA), University of the Punjab, along with an MS in Clinical Psychology and an Advanced Diploma in Clinical Psychology from the Center for Clinical Psychology (CCP), University of the Punjab. With over five years of clinical experience, she provides psychological assessment, counseling, and evidence-based psychotherapy for both children and adults. Her clinical experience includes working with individuals with intellectual disabilities, developmental and behavioral concerns, emotional difficulties, and diverse psychological needs. She has also worked closely with speech therapy programs and multidisciplinary teams and served as an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Assistant at Roots International Schools & Colleges, supporting students with educational, behavioral, and psychological challenges.

Her areas of expertise include Adult Clinical Psychology, psychological assessment, counseling, psychotherapy, childhood developmental and behavioral disorders, emotional and psychological difficulties, intellectual disabilities, and school-based psychological support. Through a compassionate, ethical, and client-centered approach, she works with individuals and families to promote emotional resilience, healthier coping mechanisms, improved psychological functioning, and better overall quality of life.
